Free and good wi-fi, large bathroom, good location, central and very near to all sorts of public transport, personal bed light and plug
Dirty/messy common rooms. Would totally recommend this hostel to young backpapers, not sure I would recommend it to my parents

It is just a casual hostel for backpackers, nothing special. The location is good - just 30 minutes on foot to Big Ben and other main London atractions. The good thing is that it has 24/7 service - you can checkout whenever you want. Also free wifi. What I liked was the breakfast - some products in the kitchen and you can make your own breakfast.
Bad thing about this hostel was its compactness. Rooms, kitchen and leisure zone are so compact and in the morning or lately in the evening there are no more sitting place. Also it is hot in the rooms.

Location - really close to Euston and St. Pancras train stations. Security - needed a code to get in the front door and the room/dorm. Reception able to keep any valuables for free. Locker storage available for £1. Locked room available to hold luggage/backpacks. Breakfast ample - toast with jam/peanut butter, several cereals on offer (all quality brands), tea/coffee. Was advised about the showers so shows comments left about the hostel have been taken seriously. Crisp and clean bed linen supplied. Stayed 1 night & more than met my needs. Showers were really clean although I didn't use so can't comment about the hot water issue. Tv and newspapers in breakfast room
Looked a little dingy so could put you off staying there. If you want to choose which bed to sleep in you can't, it's allocated on arrival. But would that really be an issue. My dorm room was a little small but not a big issue. The room was hot the night I stayed (June 2011) but a desk fan was available. However it had to be turned off during the night as it was a bit noisy. Roomies were rather considerate but 12 beds in 1 room was a bit tight. Particulaly glad I wasn't in the room nearest the female showers as the door banged constantly so a bit noisy. Breakfast room seemed a bit small.

Not much to tell the truth. Maybe if I hadn't gotten in so late at night, it would have been fun as there seemed to be people milling about after midnight having a drink etc. So seemed like friendly people there.
I was a little disappointed that there was no hot shower free when I arrived, the only 2 in the whole hostel were taken and as I was there at 1am and needed to check out at 5.30am to get a train, it was quite frustrating. Also the unisex toilets were not the cleanest, and my dorm room door did not lock at all. I could push it open quite easily. Finally, the stairs to get down to the room are very narrow, I nearly fell over my luggage a number of times. If the price was cheaper, I wouldn't be so disappointed, but I have paid less to stay in far better hostels before...

The location was good and the 24-hour check in.
The guy at the reception was total freak, I stayed for 2 nights and had to swap beds the second night. Then during the night around 3.30 AM the receptionist came with a torch waking everyone up asking for receipts telling that there is someone illegally sleeping in the room! That was horrible experience. If You have just a little more money to spend book somewhere else!

i like this hostel~ super much better than i thought :) it was clean and the staff were very nice ~ one day when i was hanging out with friends outside, i found i left my camera in the room , i was worried about probably i would lose it, but after one day, when i came back, it was still there! the bathroom is clean, and they have hot water, very nice! you can make friends all over the world in the dining room :)
the free wifi is really weak, it works at basement only :( there were guys stay in women room... ( but the guys were gentle...so...it was not really unbearable...but still weird)

The interior design is pretty good.
Just 2 things: The ladder on the bunk beds was hard to climb and unstable. And..The shower was cold. Freezing, to be exact. Only after suffering through it and then asking about it at the reception were we informed that there was another shower room downstairs that had hot water.

The location and late check in possibilities.
No hot showers upstairs, everyone had to shower in the basement. Beds very close together and too many people in small rooms. Smelly place and not the cleanest.

The fact that it was close to St-Pancras Station. That there were people of my peer group mostly, young 20-25. Free Wifi.
No hot water for showering. Dirty toilets, overflowing toilets. Bad odour. Plugged sink, you had to take water from the WC for drinking or making tea.

the bed was surrounded by curtain so you have more privacy, each bed has its own light and electrical outlet
no hot water in the shower, no soap dish in the bathroom

There is no curfew, and it seemed safe and the sheets were clean.
Because there is no cerfew, other guests could be noisy and disruptive late at night.
